Financial help with decorating for disabled person ???

If in HA or Council property you can apply for a grant towards decorating costs, this is allowed every so many years depending on authority. Here i think its 5 years the same as the out door painting thats done. They allow so much per room and this is for paint costs. My HA allow £15 per room and with this you get vouchers for either Wilkiinsons or if you have transport in to the next city to a larger DIY store which they authorise to accept a headed letter with your budget on and the store claim it back. They 'expect' you to use magnolia on walls and white on ceilings etc, if you wish to go for more expensive ways of decorating ie using 'coloured' paint or wallpaper you have to top up the extras.
As for help doing it i have no idea they just tell you to get on with it and one suggestion was to contact the Local courts for access to the services which use offenders who have been put on community service and i appreciate this is not to everyones liking - we took our time and did it ourselves.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j
