Vodafone mobile internet bolt on

I have a phone on contract (6 months into 24 month contract). Phone is used by DD and as part of her Xmas present was thinking of adding internet access to her phone.

Currently paying £15 per month for 300 mins and unlimited texts. Can I just add internet as an extra or am I stuck with my current bundle?

Not cheap - same price as o2 I believe - if you have it for duration of contract its £5 otherwise £7.50 - not sure on the amounts of data per month.

VF's definition of 'unlimited' is 500MB a month, which is plenty for basic browsing though might take a hammering if the phone's used to watch video or stream music online

Could I get a similar package with a new phone on a new contract for £20 per month from another provider.

I am looking for a new contract for myself as I'm currently out of contract on my phone and now on monthly sim. I would be ok with the current 300 mins and unlimited texts as I don't want internet but could do new contract then for DD with internet added.

Depends on how sophisticated a phone you want for internet usage and if you are willing to enter cashback deals. Dialaphone/phones4u do some decent deals along with buymobilephones.net (you need to know how to search their site properly). Plus you can get quidco.

I've done cashbacks for years but my last one (12 months ago) with Dialaphone was total hassle of not delivering the delivering two, then they kept the wrong one on my name and you can't talk to anyone at Dialahphone so I had to do it all by email. Very stressful getting it sorted and they didn't pay my final cashback claim of the contract (only £40 and due to being fed up of the stress of contacting them I let it go).

I used Quidco the last time for my vodafone contract which gave me £90 back.

Currenlty have the Tocco f480 which is ok. DD would now like the Tocco Ultra but unless I sell the Tocco on Ebay for about £80 I will only get £40 trade in against new phone.
