I really feel you should mention it is a BETA version just to make it clear to the people see the word 'free' and then click and download.
Sorry. I assumed the people could read.Money_Grabber13579 wrote: »Was just about to post this! It's not in fact free as it will stop working in October 2010.

Ok, if you want to continue with this, Free=gift. This is not a gift, it is really a loan as it only lasts for 1 year. You don't get a gift only to have to give it back again.
Oh, and if you assumed the people could read, then it would read as "free version of office for everyone." Many people don't know what BETA actually means, but they do know they want cheap office packages. In that case, this isn't for them.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
Technically it is free, because you don't have to pay for it and you don't have to buy it at the end.0

openoffice is free forever, why anybody would want to have this for a year is beyond me, what happens when it runs out and you suddenly find the only way to access your documents again is to buy the full version0

What happens? You post on here whinging that nobody told you it was only a beta version that expires.0 -
useless for the common man as it's time limited. plus!! it's a beta don't go crying if it somehow changes all of your important spreadsheets to contain the word 'fish' in every cell.0
