:j I always send mine by special delivery as you can track it, with the royal mail and its insured thats the difference, i think recorded is free, and i always end up paying £4.95 for SD. if the company say they have'nt got it as they sometimes do, you can claim the money back from the royal mail, thats what the insurrance is for. hope this helps T:j

Special Delivery starts from £4.10. How do you get charged this rate? IS RM ripping you off? I can't see it from here (opens up a pdf file).

You can claim compensation with Recorded Delivery albeit a much smaller amount. :)

  • Recorded delivery isn't exactly trackable, its just a signature at the end of it's journey and you can check delivery online. Whereas special delivery is tracked throughout it's journey and so should be less likely to get lost
