DWP payments

How does someone who gets the top amount ESA £89ish a week get paid £753.73 in one month?

Payments
128.60+265.93+179.60+179.60

I know 128.60 is JSA, 179.60 must be ESA but what is 265.93? All have the same DWP ESA ref

How do you manage to get JSA and ESA?

    £265.93 would that be DLA.

£128.60- Is the basic amount for ESA £64.30 a week paid fortnightly have you then gone into a group either support or work related so the money has gone up.
£64.30 a week is for 13 weeks. Chance are you had medical etc after 13 weeks so they back date the difference between the two rates of benefit until the 13th week!

this isn't me. The person in question gets the highest ESA amount. Can you claim ESA and DLA?

DX2 I have no clue how they get JSA & ESA, I would say he's fiddling the benefit system but surely each would show up under his name. Could he be claiming under two different councils?

He's been on ESA for a while now at highest amount

You can get DLA and ESA at the same time, DLA is a non means tested benefit so it doesn't affect other benefits.

To claim JSA you have to be actively seeking work, ESA is applied for because you are unable to work. Yes certainly a little bit of fiddling going on there. Hopefully the DWP will pick it up very soon if not you could always inform them.

Oh I shall inform them!!!! Already informed them about the girlfriend

Letter dated 30th Aug 2009 states amount of ESA to be £89.90 ish from 16th June 2009. So some could be back payment could it?

What get's me is that he's getting all this money but not paying any bills leaving us in arrears with the utilities and having to pay a £153 phone bill!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is in an work activity group hich clearly states 'you do no have to attend any workshops' etc what the hell is the point of the group then?

Have you read this person's mail or did they volunteer this info? If you have opened his mail that's a serious offence.
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

My post above explains the money!

£128.60- Is the basic amount for ESA £64.30 a week paid fortnightly

    £64.30 a week is for 13 weeks.

They have had a medical and been put into the work related group at the same time the money has changed and gone up, but also they back date the increase to when the 13 weeks ended.

    This happened to me!

Also you put that you were informing them about the girlfriend. If he is on contribution based ESA it does not matter if he has a girlfriend and you cannot tell that from a bank statement. Also DLA is not affected by a partner.
