Sim Card only deal. Which phone do I buy?

This is probably a really straight forward question but I rung CS at Virigin and did not get a simple answer
I've seen a deal with Virgin for £10 pm for 200 minutes plus unlimited texts on a simcard only deal, thing is I want a phone too. Do I just buy a pay as you go phone and then put the sim in? The LG Cookie is £59 from Virgin.

Yep your exactly right. They just provide you with a sim card and you just need to get a phone thats compatiable with Virgin0

Great thanks for the reply. So if I buy a PAYG phone from Virgin its simply a matter of swapping the sims over when I get the phone? Sorry, but just to 100% sure...

Yeah it is. You could buy any phone sim free too and pop the sim card in, or even if you have a handset now which is unlocked.0

Gotta say, as you obviously don't already have a phone you may be better off with a 'normal' contract, ie one that comes with a phone. If you want a decent handset it usually works out cheaper long term. Downside is that you'll be on a 18/24 month contract.0

You may get a better choice of handsets at a lower price from CPW and theirs are unlocked.0
