also, if they tell you to take out a loan, then inform them that they are acting illegally by "offering financial advice when not qualified to do so"

threaten to report them to the FSA if they continue. they are being looked into already because of their illegal practices.

Telling you you can take out a loan is not giving financial advice - it is making you aware of what options there are open to you; at the end of it it is your choice whether you apply for a loan or not.

and why will they only make these demands over the phone????? the second you ask for it in writing and for their full name and departmental ref. they hang up????

it's illegal, and they know it is. hence NO-ONE will ever get the thraets and demands in writing.

I think that I have made the above points on this forum sometime in the past. However, I did not know that they were being investigated by the FSA.
Is this true?

apparently so.

a member of the shadow cabinet has taken it up and pushing the point.

the FSA are naturally dragging thrir heels, as they are no more than government puppets, but they can only cover it up for so long.

also, this interview with chief corruption/compliance officer barry porter has been edited.

he actually said that the csa would be actively promoting that nrp's taking out whatever loans etc to pay off debt.

also, well worth noting is exactly WHY he isn't a copper anymore?????? he was about to be investigated for a corrupt private security scam when he quit the force.

enough said really. a criminal at the top isn't gonna worry about what is and isn't legal now, is he???

Being investigated does not mean that they are actually guilty of any offence. I can't see how informing somebody that they accept credit cards etc is financial advice - it is merely letting them know what their options are. AT the end of the day the debt is still owed and is a priority debt.
