Help!! My hard drive has three partitions, C, D, E...C is 74g with 14g free, D is 68g with 23g free, now the problem is E, it is named recover, it is only 5.84g and has only 32mb free, I used the disk clean up thingy and it recommended deleting all but the most recent system restore point so I did that but I am getting a balloon popping up every few minutes saying it is running low, there is one folder on it named recover and it has 9 files? in it named factory 1-factory 9. Is there anything I can do to fix this.

Noooooooooo Dont touch the recover folder, leave it well alone.0

I think I'm too scared to touch it!! But by leaving it will I be stopping system restore from working, will there not be enough room to make restore points?0
-
Ok hang on a mo, that restore folder is not to be filled up as all it does is keep the restore files so you can put the PC back to factory settings whenever that is a must to boot from CD to put back to out of the box settings.
Well this is almost what its for most of the time, what make of PC?
Er Medion at all?0 -
Yep its a medion! Think it is just over a year old, not sure why it is happening now though0

Ok, As I thought, now If you look in the recover folder under the recover drive you should see 3 files called, Factory002 Factory003 FactoryPQI.
How to see these files, Go into My Computer, Double Click E Drive, Double Click Recover Folder and only have the 3files listed.
BUT before that post what files are in that folder.0 -
If it is a recovery partition, why is it suddenly getting full?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

It is a bit mad by Medion to do that, but to be quite honest poking about in the file structure is a bad idea (not that this maybe the case) I personally dont like lots of partitions, Im alone I think :think:0 -
