I think I heard something about The City regulators saying that if companies had news which would affect the share price they should release it as soon as possible instead of what normally happens with retailers at Christmas times where they release trading statements a couple of weekes into the New Year.

if your in the position asda/tesco is monopolising ur area contact the approprite commission/local council (plannind dept)... ie when safeway went up 4 sale...look what happened all but morrisons were blocked from buying

The Norwich Big W was rebranded as woolworths a few months ago...it was halved in size, as far as I can remember there wasnt a closing down sale there

i work in a distribution centre.

Anyone know whats happening with the Edinburgh Big W? Asda is virtually next door so they wont be taking it over.

The Aberdeen Big W already has a closing sale going on, not a lot of big reductions yet but they are closing their doors on the 10th Feb. The new one will make 4 Asdas within easy drive from our house, shame I don't like them much
