My local paper have reported that the BIGW store in Grimsby which was built last year but never opened is to be bought by Tesco.
Shame I would personally rather have the BIGW store rather than another Tesco0 -
Judging by the number of near-Boltonians posting here, lets have a BigW Bolton closing down sale meet!!
We could meet up in the cafe (but dont use the baby seats for littlies, mine fell through once! got £25 vouchers) (ps, he wasnt hurt), and plan our assault on the store, walking round linking arms to push non mse bargain hunters out of the store..........
I've gone too far, haven't I..........*** Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly ***
If I don't reply to you, I haven't looked back at the thread.....PM me

Our own Big W at Pool, near Redruth (Cornwall) is closing down on Feb 5th and it has been taken over by Tesco. They already have 2 stores within 5 miles so why another one? :-/ It's as if they are not getting enough money into their own tills despite being the UK's biggest supermarket chain
It would be nice to have an Asda in its place as there's none for 10 miles and sometimes too far to go if one has no car. :-[
KeithBetter in my pocket than theirs!0 -
