28mm plumbing fittings required - Where's cheap ?

Screwfix do an excellent and cheap range of plumbing fittings but sadly the biggest brass/copper selection is 22mm.

I've found a few 28mm in B&Q but the cost is ASTRONOMICAL !!!!!!!!

I still can't believe some of the prices, even compared to other B&Q products.

for eg. A single 28mm solder ring TEE was about £7.50 yet I could get FIVE 22mm compression TEEs for just £8.88 (OK these are only £11.99 for TEN at Screwfix but the difference is sort of understandable)

What I can't comprehend is how a single solder fitting TEE (OK it's 28mm) is SO expensive compared to 5 x 22mm compression TEE ones that have been cast, then machined & milled, 3 screws threads cut, 3 corresponding "nuts" made and 3 olives for each joints (that's 7 pieces in total)

Where should I go for 28mm at Screwfix prices ?

I have bought 28mm ring solder from Jewsons in the past. They were fairly cheap IIRC.

I know what you mean about expensive. I was only just able to stick to a price on a cylinder swap without losing out. I had quoted on prices based on 22mm plus a bit extra.

Having said that do a search on plumbing supplies on the net.

This firm has an enormous range but as it is all in frames you have to wade through the pages item no 6811 28mm = Tee is £1.06
