Loss of water pressure after new washing machine installed

We rent our property and the washing machine broke down.

Our landlord made the decision to replace it completely but ever since the new machine has been in the hot water pressure has dropped considerably, sometimes to a trickle throughout the house.

Showers completely stop if the cold water tap in the bathroom is turned on at the same time or if a toilet is flushed

The water pressure throughout the house was very good with the old machine.

The landlord has put it down to the old machine having a hot water valve and the new machine only having a cold water valve and there's nothing that can be done about it

My questions are

1) How would a washing machine only having a cold water valve affect pressure throughout the house

2) Is there really nothing that can be done about this?!

Thank you for your time

    Welcome to the forum.

Having a cold fill washing machine instead of a hot and cold fill machine cannot affect the hot water pressure in the rest of the house.

    Who fitted the machine?

What have they done with the old hot water feed to the washing machine?
