Well, I managed to get as far as the bus stop after many stops and mutterings and having to try to get my trwalker out of ruts etc only to find out the blasted buses aren't running again. Ruddy pathetic and the school sent everyone home again at 9 this morning too.

We only had about and inch or so more than we had already.

I ended up phoning for a taxi and they charged me £10 for a 5 minute journey so was b*****d if I was paying that again to get home so decided to try to walk it on the road. It took me around 2 hours to get back so now I am kernackered and need a sleep plus I am in so much pain that the pain killers I take (morphine based) aren't even touching it.

That'll teach me to try to be independant in this weather. Stuck back indoors again now roll on the thaw.

Toni I would have been livid as well.

Toni I know how you feel. My kids head T refused to shut school last week when the snow was very deep & slippy in places. Even when though they run out of grit! Said it was something to do with the school dinners, they couldn't waste them.

Hope everyones been lucky. DS had a motd win today. A world cup book. I had to peek open to see if I could put it away for his birthday!
