2x Orange accounts for iPhone.

Hi all,
Come to the conclusion (mostly thanks to this forum) that Orange won't allow me to upgrade to iPhone mid-contract (which I still think is a bit tight since I wouldn't have started an 18 month contract with a Blackberry if I'd known there might have been an iPhone on the horizon, also all the usual guff about being a loyal member for years blah blah)
Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of the Blackberry. It's a decent enough PDA but it tends to freeze at inopportune moments and have found that the browser can be slow to load too. Because of this I'm thinking of starting a new contract to get the Iphone on Orange.
Now the problems I have anticipated are as follows :
I have (so-called) unlimited internet usage on my Blackberry (which I now assume to be capped at 750MB.) This isn't such a big problem but would the unlimited internet usage transfer to the iphone if i put my current sim into a new iphone handset?
Another idea is to start the new iPhone contract but have my current number ported to that account since then I'll have peace of mind with the internet usage issue.
one more option (my least favourite) would be to buy a brand new handset on PAYG and put my current sim into the iphone - but then would I be stung for internet usage or would, as i stated earlier, have my current unlimited internet (750MB) usage since my current sim would be used?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!

It would, yes - the package plan (with some exceptions) has very little to do with whatever handset you have the SIM in.
Orange would have to confirm this but I highly doubt it's possible to "port" an existing Orange PAYM number onto a new Orange PAYM account. If this is possible it's probably by porting off and then back on via a PAYG SIM, but Orange won't give you a PAC until your contract is expired.Another idea is to start the new iPhone contract but have my current number ported to that account since then I'll have peace of mind with the internet usage issue.
More than likely this is your best option, especially as you could sell your BB to offset the cost (and depending on how you're going to use it) you can pick up a 3G rather than 3GS second-hand and save a lot of money at the cost of a slightly slower phone and no video recording.one more option (my least favourite) would be to buy a brand new handset on PAYG and put my current sim into the iphone - but then would I be stung for internet usage or would, as i stated earlier, have my current unlimited internet (750MB) usage since my current sim would be used?
If you use your BB SIM in your iPhone you won't get access to Visual Voicemail, but I think voicemail still works in the old-fashioned way.

There no way to move a number from one acc to another. There's no an option on the system.
When you port a number it cancels the acc it's on.0
