how to test graphics card (my pro evo just stopped working)

hi, i was wondering how to test my geforce 6600gt graphics card because i have been playing pro evo on my computer for months

but now it suddenly gets stuck at the loading screen or when i score a goal (i am assuming this part of the game needs the most power?)

i have tried other games and they seem to work fine

i have reinstalled pro evo

i have got (what i thought was) the new driver but that messed up my computer and i couldn't change from 4bit colour and 640 by 480 resolution. so i "rolled back" to a previous date

hope anyone could help me!!

thanks:beer:

Can you write down all your PC specs please.
Also, when you installed the New Video Driver, did you uninstall the current version first?
If not, then these two will conflict.

might be worth checking the drivers and

website of the game manufacturer for a graphics card update - it may be a known issue

There are new drivers, I don't use that spec myself, however the new drivers are beta but work great.

    You can get them here

    Yes, you do.
It should have notes before installing the new one.
    Here's how though.
START > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Hardware.
Select the nVidea Driver and Uninstall.

After reboot, open up the new downloaded Driver and Install.
    Restart once more and done.

You can go via hardware and update drivers.
have to extract the .exe with something like winrar first.

hi, the drivers just made the game run slower, and then it crashed again..

i gave up on pro evo and installed fifa, but that still breaks as well...its very strange because i've been playing pro evo for months and i've never had a problem, just one day it stopped working. it must be the graphics card i think

    my computer has

    160gb
    1048 ram
    3.4 atlon processor
    128mb 6600 gt graphics card

i checked the fan on the graphics card incase it was overheating and i cleaned it with a bud so i don't think its the fan....

    does anyone have any ideas?

    Download RivaTuner http://www.guru3d.com/rivatuner/

    Open it, under main tab...

Under the top drop down button there is another drop down type button (next to where it says customize) click that and it should give you some options.

Click the one with magnifying glass looking at the chip, this brings up the hardware monitor window.

In there, click setup and browse to a location where you want the log to be saved - desktop. Click ok, then press the floppy disk button (log to file).

Run your game as usual. Play until it crashes........copy and paste the log here.

Some of the 6600GT's suffer from a problem because of the NV43 chip it uses.
