Dollars from the High Street - Where's Best?

Going away next Monday to Florida and i need some dollars, i was going to get them online as the rate is best but i've left it too late now grrr :mad:

Best rate on the high street please?

    Depends what places are near you. Personally I found Thomas Cook travel agents the best when I bought in September. Also check M&S and post office.
    Also check the banks. They normally have poorer rate but frankly unless you are changing a large amount, the difference in exchange rate might not be worth the hassle of spending time shopping around.

    No, you should be getting better than that.

    I've been doing a lot of research of late on holiday money and the Post Office and Banks are a rip off!

    It is currently over 1.68 meaning you should be at least getting 1.65 for holiday money!

    As a High Street rate it's good. In absolute terms, not that good.

    Cheque shops sometimes operate a BdeC on the side and give good rates.

    No, why would it make a massive difference?? i'm thinking most high streets have the same more or less travel agents/banks etc on them.

    Gonna go with Thomas Cook as they guarantee the best rate.
