Isn't it a remarkable coincidence that almost all of the positive posts on this thread are from people who have registered very recently and have only posted in this thread?

Yes ,that seems very suspicious to me.
  • I have used this company twice in the last month. We had some gold rings and other bits and pieces which belonged to my mother and had been sitting in a drawer for about 9 years. As gold prices had gone up I thought it was about time to dispose of the stuff. So to dip a toe in the water the first package consisted only of unhallmarked items and I thought some of it could be junk (and it was ,so returned to me) but I was surprised to get an offer of over £300 for the rest. I have no sure way of knowing whether that was good or not but in terms of its weight it seemed good to me and I accepted. The second package consisted of only hallmarked gold. Gold-traders website quotes the price of each type of gold on the day and they guarantee that price (or the price on receipt if higher) for 3 days if you get an online quote so the only problem is getting an accurate weight especially if rings have stones in them. However, the offer for my hallmarked gold was pretty much what I had calculated so again I accepted their offer. I elected to have the money transferred via BACS so it was in my account about 10 minutes after I accepted.
Before sending off the gold I had enquired of 2 local jewellers who offered about £2 less per gram for 9 carat gold so I am more than happy. I am glad I did not sell it when Gordon Brown sold off the gold reserves.
One last point. Having read various account of these companies I was concerned about being ripped off but it was a favourable article in the Telegraph which prompted me to use this one. I felt that I had been dealt with fairly. Hope that helps.
  • I was a bit worried about selling via the internet as I had heard horror stories but as the selling price was quoted upfront I decided to give it a go. I'm very pleased that I did. it was an extremely quick and easy transaction. A great price was paid for my gold and I got more than expected as it weighed nearly 1g more than my kitchen scales showed. The cheque arrived very quickly and I'm highly satisfied and would definately sell to Gold Traders again as they paid a lot more than my local dealers.:)
  • Just to let you all know that I have just completed a transaction with Gold Traders. I did a bit of research beforehand and it appeared this is one of the few companies that shared a gold price and gave an estimate to my gold's value before I sent it off based on the estimated weight from my kitchen scales, in my case £1354.20. They guarantee that day's price per gram for 3 days. I posted off my gold yesterday, Special Delivery before 1pm today. They rang me at around 2.15pm this afternoon offering £1445.04 and it is now in my back account. I am very pleased with the result as I was a bit wary and wondered if they would keep to their side of the deal. Well they did indeed and for jewellery I was never going to wear again plus some broken bits that were just sitting around I am very happy with the outcome. I received £9.15 per gram of 9ct gold and a man in a local shopping centre yesterday was offering £7.00 per gram. I don't think I trust the big boys who advertise on TV as that marketing budget has to come from somewhere but I definitely reccommend Gold Traders - and no I assure you I don't work for them :-)x

Don't be so sceptical.....I have used these people and they are honest, quick to pay out and a pleasure to deal with ;)
  • I have just used this company after a search on the net and reading this site. The service has been excellent and I would recommend anyone that has some old jewellery to send it off. I sent my broken stuff on Friday by Special Delivery and nearly £200 was in my account on Monday night. I had 22 grams in 9ct gold and got the rate that gold is selling for at that time and not just what the company wants to pay! I cannot recommend them enough, go for it!!!!

The reason that the posts are by people newly registered is because you must register before you can complete the link supplied by Gold Traders to leave any comments or feedback.
  • I sent 2 rings thinking they both 18ct, they phoned me the day after I sent them and were honest enough to tell me one was in fact 22ct and so increased their offer, and paid the money directly into my account so very happy. Had the same rings valued in York by an independent jeweler's, they offered me less then half then I got from Traders and no mention of the 22ct ring.

So what is this "link" they won't let you complete until you have been here and left fedback? Sounds like arm twisting to me.
