Are you paying by direct debit? If so you will reiceve statements 6-monthly.0
-
If you know your customer number you can look online. You might get a nice surprise like i did £300+ in credit - one phonecall and it was back in my account 2 days later.0
-
Depending on the credit and your usage it may not be sensible to withdrtaw the credit at thsi time of the year. Credit should appear on your account ready for your increased usage over winter.
Of course if the credit exceeds 2 to 3 months direct debit payment it's quite likely there's too much credit and a refund will be possible while ensuring your direct debit does not need to increase when your consumption does.0 -
I am with E-on, I currently pay monthly by direct debit and I get a bill every quarter.
you can check your account online0 -
I beleive the 6-monthly billing is being rolled out, so new customer are put straight onto it and older customers are progressivly being switched to it. Unless you have opted out at some point.0

My quarterly bill was available to view online this morning. I am only £34 in credit, but this quarter was £80 cheaper than the same quarter last year. Now, obviously 2nd child being at uni makes a difference, but not that much, and anyway both of them see to have made a habit of coming at home every other weekend, with masses of washing. We did also have cavity wall insulation, so possibly that has helped.0

Online customer's would be except from the six-monthly billing cycle as it doens't cost the provider anything to generate them.
Cavity Wall insulation can help to reduce heating bills by a smuch as 30% per annum, this coupled with the reduction in consumption during the week would most likely explain the reduction in your energy usage.
I don't think the washing is an issue as I imagine your doing the same amount of washing as when they home, but instead of spreading outa cross the week its now all being done in a shorter time frame.0 -
im currently with Eon and just noticed im not getting a monthly bill,
i know im paying monthly but i would at least i would expect a invoice of some sort
Hi akhlaq
Billing frequency will depend on your particular circumstances as we issue bills monthly, quarterly, six monthly and even annually.
For instance, if you have an online tariff and pay by Direct Debit then bills are issued every quarter. You will be able to view these online as paper copies are not sent out.
Customers paying by Monthly Direct Debit but not registered online receive bills every six months.
There are other options too. As I said above, it very much depends on the individual circumstances.
If you let me know the tariff you are on and the payment arrangement you have I will be happy to let you know how often you will receive a bill.

Hi akhlaq
If you click on my name there is a link to our website listed.
You need to be paying enough monthly to cover your ongoing usage so your account has a zero balance by the time of the annual review in the spring.
The Direct Debit can be changed at any time. Give us a call and ask for your account to be reviewed. We will advise what the monthly figure should be going forward.
Hope this helps. Give me a shout if you need any more info.
