Back with a cuppa, but momentary panic as I thought I'd run out of tea bags!:rotfl::rotfl:BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500

I wrap it up in ribbon but learning from you nm. I really respect how you've handled things today, you've made me see a few things i can tell you. I didn't mince my words last night about borrowing when you know you're insolvent and I felt horrid about it but she needed to know because she keeps coming back asking the same things. Maybe why I have been overly nice today - I guess it doesn't help the OP in the long run. I just have to learn how to do it like you nm, without being offensive or judgemental
ooo mich i can be judgemental, just wait until someone posts saying how easy BR is and they kept all their assets didnt pay a IPA best thing they ever did no problems no ethics..
People do need to know how it is, they need to know the effects of everything they do. I always say if you can get away with not going BR then do your best not too, I dont like to see people go BR over a 10k debt when they are working and can manage to pay it. Yes iv seen people go BR for a 5k debt but they cant pay it and are getting stress from DCA to boot, its when it can be paid that i try to make people see there is another way..
borrowing whilst you should know your insolvent is another one, well in my personal view its ok to borrow on your overdraft or credit cards to get by with normal living expenses to pay debts from one card to another, why do i think its ok? its only ok if you dont realise how much doo doo your in. Most people dont know the extent of the problem until they see it in black and white on their BR papers, the rob peter to pay paul for years not knowing the true extent of the problems.
It is not ok to take out a 10k loan or spend 4k from credit cards when you know darn well your going BR, then to blow that money on a fantastic holiday, socialising, friends or stash it under the bed.. in my eyes its fraud and should carry a jail sentence....
ooo i better calm down its after 11pm...
do hope everyone is well0 -
debt is a swear word in our house now - the word has so many negatives attached to it it makes my skin literally crawl.0

BAT some things can not be avoided, we both know the stress debt and its collectors cause some people, i have seen people close to suicide due to debt. The realisation of what you 'have and need' to do brings the release of that..
Its those people who i am trying to be here for.... to catch them before they fall too far0 -
I'm surmising from my 4 months here bat that you've put up a damn good fight with the big wigs, made them wriggle nervously with your letters and shown them you're a force to be reckoned with.. am I warm0

I don't think anyone would read it as being bigheaded. You have the guts to read into everything, find out your rights and never believe what people tell you - you've played them at their own game, borrowed time or not - a poke in the eye with a pointy stick to the big wigs is comforting to all of us out there that crumbled over their behaviours towards us.0

Light,
I believe what happened is this... (which is my theory for every night).
It gets to bed time (around 10pm for me) and the thought "I'll just finish [insert very important 'to-do' item here] then I'll head up to bed" enters your head.
Then an amazing thing happens... at least 2-4 hours disappear... *!!!!!!* just like that!
I fully intend on investigating this phenomenon one day but with those lost hours every day there just isn't time
Oh dear and I wonder why I end up in bed 3 hours later than I should. LOL

It all makes sense now - that where the time went!! Happens a lot to me too. I'd be your assistant on the investigation but never seem to have any time either!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500 -

Right, think I better head for my bed - busy day tomorrow and got to go food shopping. I'm getting some bits for my neighbour who's not been well so hence not doing it on line - hope I can restrain myself from buying all those 'bargains'!!! :rotfl:BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500
