Anyone spotted a "0% for life" card being advertised

The make up artist on GMTV told me "what about this 0% for life platinum card is it any good".
Now its been a few years since I've seen a card touting 0% for life so i asked her about it.
Apparently she was on 'my offers' and it came up as part of entering a quiz.
Im slightly stunned that anyone would try this again (last time there were major catches unless you followed the recipe exactly).
I've searched but can't find this card - when I asked the name all she could say was "it was called the platinum card". If anyone has seen anything that could've fit the description it'd be great if you could post a link.

I have never once seen a 0% for life credit card. If I did, it would certainly be in my wallet right now. :rotfl:
If there was such a card, surely it would be on the price comparison websites? As far as I know, no one on this forum has posted anything recently regarding a 0% for life. Perhaps what she saw was a card advertising a 0% fee on balance transfers, with a low rate for the life of the balance?
OH! I KNOW!
Could she have been looking at an advertisement for the E-Platinum Plus card? They tout 0% fixed for ever but technically it isn't a credit card and they charge hefty fees just for applying. http://e-platinumplus.co.uk/We’ve had to remove your signature. Price comparison sites miss many of these 'direct mail' - 'direct marketing' type deals so we try and spot them seperately.
THere did used to be 0% for life card and some still have them. Way back in 2003 barclaycard launched a 0% for life for balance transfers card but you needed spend £1 a month on the card to get it - thus triggering a repayment hierarchy issue.
To get round it i set up a £1/mth subscription service on paypal (all money goest to charity) whch people could join so they always made the payment (or you lost the deal) but never over paid (or repay hierarchy was a hit) there are still a couple of hundred people still with the card making that payment even now!Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

T&C here http://www.e-platinumplus.co.uk/eterms.html

I think it probably is the e-platinum card as advised. This is cropping up more and more and by all accounts is best avoided like the plague.
This is the first I have heard of a 0% Life of Balance card, and a quick check of the stoozing site makes no mention of it. If one did crop up I'm sure the stoozers amongst us would be pretty quick to start applying.
We can yet live in hope though

Eh?3. RETURNED PAYMENTS:
In the event that My membership fee is returned, I understand and agree that E-Credit Plus™ may issue My E-Platinum Plus Shopping Card with a credit line of £1,250 for a one-time enrollment fee of £39.95, which will be debited from My bank account. E-Credit Plus™ may immediately attempt to collect that amount by presenting My debit authorisation to My original banking institution. I am authorising the debiting of My bank account; therefore, E-Credit Plus™ is not responsible for any overdraft fees charged by My bank or incurred by Me due to debit attempt(s)
14. MEMBERSHIP, APPLICATION AND ENROLLMENT FEES:
The initial cost of My membership includes an application and enrollment fee. The total initial membership fee is £79.95. This charge breaks down as follows: £65.95 enrollment fee and a £14.00 application fee. The application fee is nonrefundable, unless I cancel My membership pursuant to Section 15. B. Otherwise, if I cancel pursuant to Section 15. A., the Company will refund My enrollment fee only. Should My enrollment fee be reduced to £39.95 in the event of My membership fee being returned for insufficient funds, and a credit line of £1,250 will be issued, pursuant to Section 3 of these Terms and Conditions, the nonrefundable part of that enrollment fee will be £7.00.
On the front page, someone (probably the MD's mate) talks about no hidden fees - the Ts & Cs are littered with more fees than a Ryanair "free flight"You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -
Clear as mud, LTL...
As for the 0% for life: I've just spent 20 minutes with Google. It just isn't there, unless it's a secret "existing customer" offer... and the best I know of there is the 6.9% Barclaycard "for the life" BT.
It's either E-Platinum, or it flat doesn't exist.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j
