That's a Multimedia PC system into a 50" Plasma and theatre sound system.
Want one then ??? your mum said no!0 -
I said my mum wouldn't be happy with an additional monitor in the room! I can't afford a plasma, so that's out. I'm not that bothered about a new TV, I just wanted to play a few films on it. I hoped I didn't need a brand new TV to wirelessly do it."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0

Just check out the cable from your earlier post and it say half way down not suitable for PC to TV and VCR (as I mentioned the incompatibilities between the two systems)
Watch films via Sky+ or VCR video tape or BTVision or cable services.0 -
I am aware of how else to watch films, thank you. I just hoped to watch things more comfortably than squashed up with my laptop.
Off to bed now.
Thanks for suggestions all."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
You could try a projector, laptop straight in, big picture, sorry about other viewing means, just try to offer other ideas..0

Thanks for the ideas.
It's okay, but I don't want to buy any more stuff. "There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
OK, one more suggestion, how about buying a cheapo DVD player? It'll plug in using SCART (use SCART 1 and set the player to RGB for best picture if available). If you buy one that does DIVX and maybe even has an SD card slot, you can put your photos or films onto a DVD or SD and play through it. £20ish maybe?0

I have DVD players. I watch quite a lot of TV programmes through the computer, so it just would have been nice to watch it through the TV, and not at the computer.
Thanks for the suggestion though."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
Do you mean that you stream tv programmes to your computer or you download the programs and then watch them on your computer. If you download them , then a divx dvd player would be perfect. Just get one with a USB port and you wouldn't even need to burn cds or dvds, just copy and paste onto a usb flash stick, then plug usb flash drive into dvd player and away you go.Wins 2007 :Boots £125, XBOX 360 & 3 games 2008:5 David Gray CDs £10 DVD voucher 2 Crossed Bones DVD & chocolate Torch.
