Uninsured phone breaks with O2 SIM only.. WHERE NOW?!

I have recently purchased an O2 SIM Only deal as advertised on this site (Bargain Quidco 100 pound cashback). My LG Viewty that I kept has now broken (unrepairable) and I do not have insurance on it. I have been looking at phones such as the Iphone and new Blackberry and they are in the region of 700 POUNDS and 500 POUNDS respectively..!

Could anybody recommend what I should / could do with regards to contract new phone (no sim)? Am now paying 20 pounds a month with no phone, any advice would be very welcome...

Thanks.

For £20 a month, could have had a free contract phone.

Anyway if you like touchscreens, the cheaper ones are likely to be the Samsungs.

You can get iphone for £342 I think (buts its not 3gs not sure check their site) on pay and go.

You can opt for W995 I have seen that on phones4u for £199.

Cheaper phones Nokia 6303, 6700 etc.

You could write off your £140 loss and take out a new contract, buy a cheap phone (say around 30 quid) and put up with it for the time being, buy a better phone 2nd hand off ebay or spend a mint on a new sim-free phone.
  • If you don't need particulary quick internet I'd go for the Genio Touch- cheap, cheerful and very easy to use.
