Help! Seller Pulled Out!!
The EA called the other day and said that the vendor was finding it very frustrating as they were making offers but kept getting outbid and has decided to take the property off the market. I am absolutely gutted as I loved the place.
I want to write to the seller to say that i'm still interested and the offer would still stand and that they could have more time to look. Is this completely unorthodox or would this be acceptable?

Can't do any harm, though not sure what's the point.
The vendors have taken their property off the market - noone can know exactly why. Have they given up moving? Just want to find a place first?....
They know you are interested (you offered the asking price) so if/when they are ready to move they are likely to get the agent to call you.
ps - can you edit then delete your duplicate post please?0 -
Exactly the same thing happened to me about 6 weeks ago after waiting to see if the vendors could find a place to buy for 6 months (while still looking at other properties). I put a note through the front door asking whether they were still looking to buy with apologies for troubling them. I put home and mobile numbers and email address and left it to them to contact me if they wanted to. They did and said that they were still looking. They ahen't found anywhere since and I have pretty much given up on it. You have nothing to lose by contacting them.
The good news is that somewhere else has come up which may turn out to be even better. So far we have seen and lost 2 "dream" houses and now this 3rd one has come along. You may find that something even better omes along for you. Good luck!0
