the perfect company doesnt exist sadly
I completely agree...based on customer satisfaction (on https://www.adslguide.org.uk) i would say that IDNET and Zen are probably the best companies for broadband in terms of quality. They both offer up to 8Mb service for £24.99 p/m (i think with 30Gb download limit), not cheap but good quality.
Hope this helps0 -
You could try Virgin, they are one of few who don't have a 12 month contract.0

I doubt you will find a quality ISP for under £20 which doesnt tie you in for a long time or is totally unknown with no history.
You sound quite picky about which ISP so I am assuming you are not a light user. Therefore based on the number of hours you use broadband perhaps the extra cost is justified to find a decent ISP.
I pay £25 for 1mb no caps and been with the same ISP for 3 years ... its a small ISP but I've had like 4 days downtime in total and I can get through to CS easily. I always feel my connection is 1mb and no restricted and P2P/online gaming is excellent.
If you manage to lower your costs by a few quid, make sure you consider the risk that they might not be as good as your previous one.
I like the concept of minimum term contracts because these ISPs have to work harder to keep custom. Mine is a 3 month contract with half price installation.
Fast24.co.uk is my ISP btw.0
