Car warranty void by changing lightbulbs!!

It is quite normal for Halfords only to supply headlight bulds in pairs, the rationale being that it one has gone, the other is likely to be close to failing too (you can't turn one on without the other).
Over time they will start to fade, so if you only change one, it will appear brighter than the other.
Are you sure?
No car ive ever had has wired the headlights in series0 -
8 hours to change an ECU? You is so funny... but not as funny as those threads about a skip outside the house of the one about the dealer nicking £2k.
You're slipping ...

What car do you drive where you can turn one headlight on without the other (I don't mean parking lights)??
What purpose is there in your car (or the car you know of) where you would only turn one headlight on?? In what situation would that be useful???0 -
Hi guys!
Thanks again to everyone who has e-mailed!!! I REALLY appreciate your support! This was really getting me down. I just didn't know what to do. As a 30-year-old woman I don't have the first clue about cars, hence why I got the headlights changed at Halfords. As CHR15 said Halfords recommended replacing both as 1. the other one would go quicker, and 2. My bulbs were blue and they replaced both with white ones.
The "stupid-!!!!" who mentioned about the bulb change to Seat was yours truly. LESSON LEARNT!!! Never mentioning anything ever again.
The mechanic who has the car at the moment is a Bosch Service mechanic and he has said he'll be prepared to put in writing his findings so we can go back to Seat. He's just as mad as I am! He's found out it's certainly an ABS problem, and said it's either an earthing wire or a technical fault. He's been a real darling and sorting out my car inbetween loads of work, so hasn't had time to do everything yet. The results will be in the next few days..... we'll just wait and see.
Seat are getting a right earful from me, and I'm getting rid of the car as soon as it's sorted. Looks like it'll be back to Toyota for me!!0 -

ive never owned one like that, i think you misunderstood why i asked
the person i quoted said that if one bulb is blown, the other headlight wouldnt work. Which would mean they are wired in series, which would be a really bad design.0 -
