  • I to am waiting for my cashback £75, taken 4 months so far, upon enquiry, they told me by the end of November

I've been waiting for £75 since April from More Than. It has been tracked & it is still awaiting payment.
The payment is due to be paid in Novemeber but I wont count on it as its been due to be paid in August, September & October as well!!!
  • I did raise the issue with Quidco and they have paid the £4.50 as a gesture of goodwill:confused: While I'm glad they've paid up I think its a damn cheek to say it's a gesture of goodwill, they screwed up and should just admit it and pay up not pretend they're doing me a favour:mad:

I purchased RAC breakdown cover last December and still haven't received the cashback for it :-(

In fact, i haven't received a single payment from Quidco in over a year.

I hate to say it, but Ive had my first rejected enquiry on Quidco, and it too relates to £75 cashback I should have got from MoreThan car insurance taken out in June.

Like you Ive been waiting months for movement on it, and Ive now been told it's been declined, with no explanation and no right of appeal. I will just have to accept "More Than's" decision not to pay it.

I will be leaving Quidco now, once my remaining cashback transactions (hopefully) come through.

  • totally agree – quidco are a joke now and they’ve got up themselves and the customer service is gone

I've now had 3 earnings enquiries rejected from quidco and all for no good reason. One took 2 ½ months to get back to me and the reason for rejection was about 6 words long and was total rubbish. I’ve tried to argue the case with them, but they just send back a useless excuse. I’ve had no gestures of goodwill, just drivel.

They just don’t care and they charge you £5 a year for the privilege.

Topcashback and cashbackreward are much better – topcashback are giving an extra 1% on everything until the end of the year too. And best of all they are free.

I took out the home insurance through Quidco for More Than in September, it has been showing as tracked, and payment to be made in November, I checked again this morning and it now says payment to be made in Feb 2010

Ditto - £75 Morethan motor policy taken out in June 09 declined a few days ago. Tracked status never changed to valdated. Being one of many Quidco members affected by the RBS mass insurance declines in June 08 I religiously don't use comparison sites, clear flash and browser cookies before purchase & never convert previous quotes so no reason to decline payment on the basis of competing cookies. It seems that members / Quidco have no recourse once transactions have been declined by the network. I've escalated the matter and hopefully there will be a successful conclusion else CashBacKKings will then get 100% of my custom even though they may offer less cashback with some merchants. I've been with CBK for over a year now with a few queries & they've been great with communication. Quidco platitudes like 'I can appreciate that when a transaction is declined it can be very disappointing' simply don't wash when this much money is involved.

Hi Tony I wrote the following to Quidco today after they Declined two of my transactions with More Than totaling £143. The matter had taken 9 months They claimed non specific reasons which they appear to give most people:
The insurer has taken the decision to decline your cashback due to competing cookies. A competing cookie is when another affiliate has been credited with the cashback instead of Quidco. This can happen for a number of reasons:-
    1. A comparison site is used on the same browser as your sale without clearing your cookies.
    2. Cookies are not cleared before logging in to Quidco.
    3. A quote has been saved previously and retrieved and purchased through Quidco.
This results in another site or network being credited with the transaction and in this type of case cashback will not be paid to Quidco under any circumstances.
    MY REPLY (Edited)
I knew that I would get no further; hence I will no longer be using Quidco and will advise all my family, friends not to.
    The reasons being:
    1. I am well aware of not using comparison sites first and have in fact advised others of not doing this prior to placing an order.
    2. I used a programme called Auslogics boostspeed to clear all of the history and cookies on my computer before changing my internet security settings to enable Quidco cookies prior to my transactions. This worked as the transactions were tracked.
    3. This was not a single transaction it was two separate transactions on different days yet both have been dismissed.

You give a list of generalised reasons for my not being paid but do not give specifics
What was the comparison site was used on the same browser without clearing cookies?
Which cookies were not cleared prior to using Quidco?
What quote had been saved previously?

As per the e mail on the 30th October payment dates were indicated but you have now deleted this information

You see everything is on your side; you will not and do not provide specific reasons for either of my claims failing. You have the advantage of sitting in the middle and saying sorry its not our fault. You also have the advantage of stating that individual cases cannot and will not be investigated.

The above amounts to unfair treatment of customers, the facts of which will be reported to the Office of Fair Trading.

I in the meantime know that I followed the correct procedures and yet am £143 out of pocket. Therefore there is no reason whatsoever for remaining with you.
    THEY STATE THEY CANONT INVESTIGATE
    - QUOTE "There are extremely high volumes of transactions made over the internet every day and it is therefore not possible for merchants to revisit individual cases."
    IS THERE A PATTERN?
I only found your comment later today and wish I could contact you as I intend to report this situation to authorities and we should do this together.
    TO ALL OTHERS THINK CAREFULLY.
