It's £2.60 here for a black cab and I'm on the Wirral, over the Mersey from Liverpool.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Yes, 100%. The minimum fare in London is £2.20.0

Makesure the driver turns the meter on when you get in the cab, check the extras aswell, some might charge extra to pick up from train stations, the meter should also be sealed, so no tampering, if this was the case you can report them to PCO office. The meter should only run when the wheels are moving, or when you are stationary,this is classed as waiting time, yes even if your at a level crossing it still ticks over, if your not happy with this then book a mini cab and get a set fare..0

One more point - is the meter always been at £0 when you get in? Some do (or used to) charge "waiting time", or add this on at the end.0
