Advice with Cold Radiator

Hi,
The whole estate is 12 years old and everyone has problems. The heating engineers that live on the estates recommend powerflushes, but advise its a short term fix and depends on luck to how long it lasts.
I dont normally have a problem with Air and have not topped up in that time. However I believe it comes from a tank in the loft so may do it automatically?. The inhibitor was added in Dec 07. It was Sentintel X100 and was powerflushed with X800?
I have already spend £400 last time. Its going to quickly mount up if the problem is not fixed.
I dont like the fact that the valves always go green suggesting leaks to me, more that likely when the kids bump them.
Not a fan of plastic at all. Perhaps as everythings as cheap as possible. We like the house and want to stay, shence why i am wanting excuses to repipe.
Thanks

Hi,
Could I ask for more advise please?
Still making my mind up to powerflush with BG for £571 or a local company for £275 and reading up on powerflushes
Read on another thread about the header tank being low on Water. I have gone up tonight to check and found
Water was low as ball !!!! was touching the side. So refilled.
Inside header tank is full of white gunk. Will this block the system again
There is a big thick copper pipe which was just touching /above the water surface in the tank. Am I right in thinking this would drag air in again. Radiators again had air in them, but not the one effected
Help
Thanks

The rads probably have air in them due to the ch make-up tank being low.
The water in the tank should be reasonably clean, so it would be wise to either have a complete drain down and refill or a powerfush.
Don't use bg they are overpriced. Get a local engineer instead and make sure they add some inhibitor.Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0 -
see my post about balancing the system in a privious thread about rad problem, it may help
