FFP - sending you 'keeping the school open' vibes!
Jinky - hope you settle in quickly and happily and come back with your fun and madness soon!

Grrrrrrrrrrr - had loads more to say and forgot so sending a hug to each and everyone of you!

Rosepink - not sure why the car caught fire. DH noticed smoke and pulled over. Luckily he was about 100m down the road from a fire station. It could have been so much worse!

Jill - I know what you mean. One of my friends walked past our house this morning with a charred car outside. She later said to me 'if it had been anyone else I'd have been really surprised but I just expect it of your family at the moment!'. Lol!

The good thing is (and there always has to be something good!). It's made me re-address our finances and I feel really positive. There's lots of bargains to be had out there. I have a nice little business that will continue to grow. DH has been asked to do some courses to make him something or other at work (yes, I know I should have listened and not switched off!!!) - he'll be the only one at his work (500+ people) who does this 'thing':o and it will make him very busy at his place but also sought after by other companies. His company has said this will be reflected in overtime offered to him and a payrise next year. He's really looking forward to doing 'whatever it is' :rotfl::rotfl:.

I've rejoined PAD and next year is going to be our best year ever.

Also, this is starting to sound like an OSCAR speech :D, my DD won an athletics award last night for the under 11 who put in most effort, supported others and beat all her own personal bests. She also won 2 tri-atholon and a pentathon award. DS won a tri-atholon award and is the first person at the club to win one at 8 years old. Very, very proud of them both!

Right, I'm off to start my lists, have a massage and then finish my list.

    Hugs to all xxxx

Got my french presentation in an hour - eek. I'm not too worried, I know it quite well and can muddle my way through. My tutor is really supportive so if I have a wobble it will be okay. Taking my rescue remedy anyway.

Have made pile of things to take with us this afternoon, I feel vaguely nauseaus at the idea of getting the train, but has to be done. Found out someone is coming on saturday morning to value the house, something to do with Dad's estate - it hasn't been valued since it was converted by mum and dad from a barn in 1993, so we're doing Location location style guesses of what it will be worth.

Right before we leave I need to:
Sort work to take with, pack laptop
Throw out flowers (they will be very dead by Sunday)
    Take bins out
    Washing up
    Tidy up bits and bobs
    Plugs/ lights

    Love to everyone

    (((hugs))) Carol

Good luck with the presentation, but more importantly, with getting through the weekend. It's going to be tough for you all, but I hope it won't be too stressful.
