Morning all still very windy here but inspired by Miss H I'm going out this morning to try to plant some bulbs.
First:
Make a cuppa
strip bed
load WM
Invigilating this afternoon so no flying then.
JJ - knock 'em dead vibes heading your way
Sexy - good luck with the GP, hope you are feeling a bit better todayThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Didn't do much yesterday other than washing the bedclothes and having them back on there by bedtime. More headaches and working on another job application until going to watch DS1 in his first school rugby match.
The lounge carpet still looks nice and clean and decluttered - but all the boxes and clutter are stacked in the kitchen for the time being and the TV cabinet is now covered with sports bags in the very tiny hallway. I've got to finish this job application today though, whether nauseous or not. And ironically enough it's 'office and desk' day ... and yes of course I'd get it done so much easier and quicker if I could actually sit at my desk! Maybe in time for next week.
These applications seem to take up as much time as working itself!
Have a fun day all.0 -

another job from my list of summer (yeah I know:o) jobs HAS BEEN COMPLETED.
I have re-contacted the bloke about the gutter (who had said he would come but didn't - forgot address:rolleyes:) and he came on Tuesday. I now have a gutter that no longer looks like a window box - it was SOLID with soil and sedum and the 'bend' had to be removed and unblocked because it was clogged with roots - only a short bit of guttering because my roof is at right angles to next door. It must have been blocked for YEARS. Only £20 (also did long side gutter which was just a bit mossy!):money:
on a positive note
2 x WM ON LINE and WILL DRY because it's dry and breezy:D
1 x veggie chilli has been in slow cooker since last night:D
Oh and Rosey you should've heard DS this morning (well you probably did LOL he was SO LOUD
'Where's my white school PE shirt?'
well - it was in the basket waiting to be pegged out to dry
'But I put it in the wash'
Valli -'yes but AFTER I had done all the washing!'
so he had NOTHING to wear for PE!
Lesson learned?

Feeling quite tired this morning as woke up at 5 again. Had to be up early so that I could call in sick. Left a message on Head's mobile, but she called me at 8.45am anyway as she hadn't checked her messages. She said I've got to ring back at 2pm to let them know about tomorrow. Colleague thinks I should take tomorrow off too, but I know that my year partner isn't in school on Monday as she's on a course, and I've to do the planning etc for next week with her and order stuff for our science morning that's on Tuesday morning (parents are coming in for it). So much to worry about! They've also put my class assembly during my PPA time next week, so another messed up PPA time.
Off to make the most of being at home, to put on a load of washing before the doctor calls. Not sure if my tummy ache is just IBS caused by stress, or a bug. Doctor is phoning me at 10.30.

Thanks for the advice about the cat yesterday Dusty. Only just read it now. Someone at work last night said their vet suggested plain boiled rice and a bit of diced up chicken after her cat had an operation rather than cat food so I've given her that this morning which she has really enjoyed. So we'll see how she goes. I've decided to phone the old owners DIL to check if he had pet insurance at all as she's not covered on our pet insurance for 2 weeks and we really haven't got the money for a vet bill right now. If she ends up really poorly we'll obviously take her but would rather be able to claim on the insurance.
Off to toddlers with DD2 now so will be back later for some flying. The lounge is a bit messy and I've got a friend round for coffee at 2pm ish.
See you later.0 -
can only be bothered to do 15 mins today so a 10.15-10.30 anyone lol0
