Tesco Direct Order - Not as described

  • If it were to turn out to be a genuine error on their part, then they are not obliged to provide the goods at the price you paid. Arrange for them to collect the item at their cost (assuming it is unused) and request a refund.

You could argue until you were blue in the face but if it were to go to court and it was to be considered a genuine mistake, you'd lose.
  • I wouldn't have taken it as far as court. I just thought that due to me purchasing something which was not described correctly, it was fair they provide me with the correct item.

Anyway, after talking to the manager (who btw was very kind & polite), I am going to return the item I have and as a goodwill gesture, they are also sending me the extra cost to purchase the more expensive one which I think is very nice of them.

    Thanks to everyone who replied.
