Help! Which bathroom would you recommend and do you know a showroom (Kingston Surrey area) where we can check them out as I don't feel 100% confident in picking 1 online. I'm looking for a shower bath, wc and basin.

Thank you

Don't buy online. Recipe for disaster to save a couple of quid. Delivery can be problematic, quality control poor and if anything goes wrong you wait around for ages waiting for them to sort it out.

Go to a local plumbers merchant you'll get as good a deal and a support structure in place. To avoid being accused of spam I will send you by Private Message details of a few such outlets within sensible distance of you.

    Cheers

Good evening: Burge and Gunson and City Plumbing for bathroom fittings. Stick with brand names eg. Twyford, Mira, Ideal etc. Versatile in Chessington for tiles. The OH recommends those suppliers to his customers.

Can I have a look around city plumbing ? - it looks very much directed to trade. Anyone know if the Epsom one has much on display? It would be nearer for me. If not I'll go to the Croydon one.

He He - Interesting we are both are recomending B&G - I find them very good and extremely helpful. Not much to see at trade counter in Morden - Showroom in Colliers Wood.

Agree re Versatile as well but also suggest to look at Extra Special Tile Co Malden Road Kingston and also in Cheam.

For the record I have NO arrangement with or pecuniary interest in any of these businesses.

    Cheers

B&G have a range of brands, right? I have to get decent stuff or my plumber won't be happy :)

    Yes.

Its you who needs to be happy at the end of the day. Its not just the quality of the goods its the quality of the aftercare too. I replaced a thermo shower cartridge the other week for a client whose bathroom was fitted 8½ years ago and the shower came from a company now taken over by another. But they still honoured the 10 year guarantee on the cartridge.

This job IS an investment. Get 2/3 installers to estimate the job for you. Select one - then pick HIS brains when selecting bath suite, brassware, shower, tiles etc.

Good morning: no 'arrangements' with any I have recommended. The customer supplies whatever from where ever he or she chooses but we draw the line at the sheds and strongly advise quality brands.

I agree - Thank you for pointing out my typo. How did I miss the NO out - must have been the time of night. Edited it.
