Go to youtube and there are tutorials on how to do this
Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.0 -

Tried that but not making much sense and while i'm here my phone only vibrates when i'm receiving a call????? Looked at the settings but no joy.0 -
re the phone only vibrating; theres a small switch on the side top left that switches between ringer and silent, have you seen that?0

Just follow one of the tutorials....it is easy.
From memory...You can only have 30 seconds of a song as a ringtone.
You go into itunes, select the song, amend the start & end time (30 secs max) and then convert the file. Copy the converted file into a folder....rename the saved file to the different file type (check the tutorials)
File open folder - select the ringtones and then add. Create a folder for ringtones on itunes (open the saved files in there) and point your iphone ringtone section to sync to that area.
Job done....Thats all abit wooly as I havent got my pc infront of me....just check the tutorials, its easy once you do 1.0 -

I just got an iPhone last week (most amazing thing EVER, can I add?
)and I had just accepted the fact that I couldn't have customized ringtones, I didnt think it was an option, until I read this thread!
Found a very simple and easy to follow tutorial on YouTube and had my ringtone on my iPhone within minutes (and I'm no computer whiz either!), the forum won't let me post a link as a new user but if you search:
"How To Make Mp3 Ringtone On Iphone" on YouTube, the username of the video poster is "thevistapro" it should help you!
