I use chrome and firefox. Chrome is so fast, but without adblock and noscript (or equivalents) so many websites I'm used to in firefox are nearly un-usable in chrome. Adblock even stops annoying adverts before streaming videos - with chrome I sometimes have to sit through 1 minute of adverts just to see a trailer for a game >_<.0

There are alternatives to AdBlock based on the hosts file but I work on the principal of taking the easiest route and that is to use FF.
I can see why the original poster got annoyed though as changing browser always means there are detail differences which annoy.
I originally started using FireFox before IE had tabbed browsing and that was such a huge advantage I haven't looked at IE since except when using someone else's machine and then I find it a pain because of those detail differences.
I never did like Opera and only briefly tried Safari on a Mac before installing FireFox. I guess we are all creatures of habit.0 -

...however... I've been moving all my data over from my old Win2K computer to my brand new Windows 7 machine. I just can't seem to find a way of moving my saved emails from Thunderbird on my old machine to Thunderbird on my new one.
Can anyone suggest a way?
On your old machine you should have the Thunderbird profile stored in
C:doceuments and settings\yourloginname\applicatioon data\thunderbird\profile
Copy the contents of the profile folder to your new machine. There should be a similar directory structure. if you copy it into that it will have all of you old settings and mails.
The only issue is if you have been using thunderbird on your new nachine doing that will overwrite the new stuff.
There's also a tool you can use called mozbackup but I've never used it myself.
If you do a google search there's lots of info on this/It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
