I invested in a Packard Bell GPS400 just before Christmas.

I wasn't very impressed with the Destinator 5.1 software that it originally came with, until about a fortnight ago when I made a few discoveries:
1. There has been a firmware update to 5.5. WOW! What difference that made - it's now much more like TomTom in terms of the layout and has the added benefit of using the more reliable Navteq maps rather than the TeleAtlas maps that TomTom uses (accounting for their appearance on Watchdog!)
2. The GPS unit is based upon the Windows CE operating system and the nice folks at GPS Passion (http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=56065) have highlighted a way that allows you to (legally) add Windows CE software. The offshoot of this is I now have TomTom 5 installed on my Packard Bell GPS400 running alongside Destinator 5.5.
So, I've got the best of both worlds - better maps with Destinator for me, and a more user friendly interface with TomTom for the missus ;-)
I'd personally recommend one of these!0 -
