Your son will be able to resell the tickets to fans who want them through FIFA in April.
They've spent a fortune building the stadium and there are fears over what'll happen as the investment won't be paying off.0 -

SA are getting quite worried .... mostly they think it's because of the danger of travelling there, with kidnappings/shootings and other horrors rife.

Much of which is, frankly, scaremongering to the point of absolute boswallocks.
The British Lions fans, the Barmy Army and fans for the Confederations Cup were all in South Africa last year. I didn't see many reports of murdered or kidnapped supporters then.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. OK, I've just checked and it does seem possible to resell your tickets back to FIFA (minus a 10% fee!). At the moment the page says
"Dear Supporter,
The FIFA Ticketing website is currently under maintenance and will be available shortly.
Accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Sincerely,
FIFA World Cup™ Ticketing Centre"
So hopefully that'll change soon as I too need to sell some tickets that I purchased when a family member lived there last year but no longer lives there so it's not possible for me to attend.
To get to the section where you sell tickets it's not exactly as FIFA state. So, do this:
1. Go to FIFA.com and login with the details you entered when purchasing your tickets.
2. Click on "Ticketing"
3. Click on "Buy tickets" (trust me with this one!)
4. Click on "Buy tickets" (on the following page)
5. You should then see a screen with the tickets you've already purchased. Click "Sell tickets".
This is where the maintenance screen appears so hopefully in the coming week it'll be resolved and we'll be able to sell out tickets back to FIFA.0 -

Totally agree. Went to Cape Town all of the time when my brother lived there and it was fine. You just have to remember it's not a lovely town in the English countryside i.e. don't walk around late at night, don't carry wads of cash with you etc etc. But don't be scared.0
