Same Mobile number for two phones?

Hi guys
Does anybody know if it's possible to get your Mobile service provider to provide you with a second Sim card so that you can use two phones with the same telephone number?
The reason I ask is, I would like to avoid using my touchscreen phone when I'm in my work environment to avoid the possibility of getting it damaged, I'd sooner use a cheaper phone, but obviously don't want the hassle of having to keep swapping the sim card over
I'm with Virgin and I'm going to phone tomorrow and ask them if it's possible, but I was just asking beforehand, incase anybody had managed this or knows if it's possible
My phone is on a monthly contract, but don't know if this would be allowed or not?
Thanks

You can gets second sim with business acc's (as above) but only on those acc's. The service isn't offered on any other acc types.0

I think that would only be of use for incoming calls, don't think making calls, nor receiving or sending texts would work with thatproperty.advert wrote: »Call forwarding ?0 -

Correct, it would only be for incoming calls.
There's no way (I know) to make it work for outgoing messages/calls.0 -
