Anyone using an HTC Touch Diamond 2?

I was thinking of getting one of these a while back, but when I ordered they sent me a Touch HD 2 in error.

To say I was unimpressed would be an understatement.
It was slow, the touch screen was sluggish and unresponsive. And this after I'd upgraded it to the latest firmware.
Needless to say it was sent back.

Now the sim free price was getting towards the £300 mark I thought I might try again but is anyone using a Touch Diamond 2 know if its any better than the HD 2 (ie it works!).

I've taken a look at the demo unit in p4u but it looks like its been there for months and only just works at all...

Thanks...

My advice would be to stay away from any phone that runs Windows Mobile until as least Windows Mobile 7 is out. Any that I've used are all sluggish and break often. Why not try one of HTC's Android phones?

  • Touch Diamond 2 , I'm looking at this phone ... I need to be able to remote onto my home PC via the net. I'm going to use logmein.

I know you can use an iphone but I only want an handset as has a SimOnly deal. have about £200 to spend..

I know Window Mobile is not great .. anybody have other ideas ?

Touch Diamond 2 has had good reviews and is smaller then the iphone

I tried an HTC touch HD 2 (or something like that). Hated it, slow, poor touch response. . .

I got a Samsung i900 when Orange cleared them on payg just before Christmas. Not too bad, reflashed a cooked rom with wm 6.5. Not a patch on my wifes iPod touch for the control interface (and I'm no Apple fan).

The Android phones are better I'm told, so I'll be trying one of those when they get cheap enough, but I've a feeling I'll end up with the new iPhone when it comes out in the summer. . .
