I have seen the Brother HL 2140 on Printware.co.uk for £83.08. Does seem a good one to go for.

I print a lot of discs and colour so an Epson and CISS for ink is cheapest and best for me. I am going to get a laser printer for quality and economy just for letters, this one which I've seen print and is less than £50 :-

I quite enjoyed my Lexmark...not the ink or printing sadly..they sucked...but the cutting the vile plastuc peice of junk to tiny bits with a grinder.
