    "A local office?"
What are you referring to with this cloak and dagger talk?

Apologises if you misunderstood, Local Office, i.e Jobcentres

DLA do not care about people working.

Incorrect. This is dependant on the type of job and whether their duties are consistent with the needs that they have claimed

DLA is so that if someone needs extra care and support so they can go to work the extra money helps with that.

DLA is for help needed with extra care or support in everyday living in general.

For example, my friend is wheelchair bound and cannot walk at all. She is not able to get in and out of a shower, bed or a car without help. She cannot just walk to the end of the road and get on a bud to work like 'normal' people, so she goes to work in a Taxi. This extra NEED because she is DISABLED is EXACTLY what DLA is for. She doesn't have to sit and home and never work because she can work with her hands and voice etc etc part time but she most definitely needs help with her mobility and her care.
Why would DLA be even remotely bothered that she is working?
Unless you have cast iron proof with links, don't bother given people the wrong information.

My information is correct, a decision maker will look into a persons award if they question a persons entitlement to benefit and evidence justifies this, My information is based on guidance contained with the DWP website and several years experience as a DLA Decision Maker

You could influence someone not to claim because they think they won't get it as they work.

Many comments on this forum influence people, but notifications from DLA and information contained on the DWP website advise people that they can claim and work

I honestly cannot remember ever being asked if I work or not. My working has absolutly nowt to do with my condition. It's my body thats giving up on me not my brain.

I agree. I thought the DWP only had to be informed if your job did indeed contradict your needs / meant you had more or less needs.
