Oh it just keeps getting better and better>
Engineer came (nice chap and really helpful) connected me up but still not TV so called BT as advised to get the rest of the package only to be told they first have no record of me having broadband (home hub installed and using it right this moment)
Then no record of my phone order (on hold to 150 with my new BT number and phone)

Now get told that I need to pay for the TV thing , First time anyone mentioned this at all..
7 phone calls to BT, DD set up and me willing to pay for what I use and now get told I have to pay an extra £50 for the TV as it was not part of the package, even though that was the whole point.

Now more angry then before and stuck on hold whilst someone murders Vivaldi

    Are you still holding?
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

I have given up..I spoke to someone who told me I couldn't do anything for 10 days whilst the broadband "settled down" and to call back..

    What joy
