    Could we stop now please?

Point 1. You may be able to claim for DLA on the basis of needing supervision. That will help you fund your search for successful treatment. I personally feel that you are being misled by snake oil salesmen, but if you feel that these things are of assistance to you, then fair enough.

Point 2. Similarly, I would suggest that, for the cost of these medications, you could afford a private referral to someone who is motivated enough to also do NHS work.

Point 3. If you have fallen asleep whilst cooking or had to pull over due to fatigue, it doesn't matter what the doctors say. You have the obligation to notify the DVLA that you may have a condition that they would want to know about. They will conduct investigations and reach a decision. It's up to them to decide, it's up to you to notify them. If someone hit your car, even if it wasn't your fault, and the police realised that you were sleeping/pulled over because you were tired, you could be facing prosecution. Being on benefit (bad though it is) is still a better option that having to live with the guilt of killing someone in an accident or lugging around a criminal record (and having no license)

Point 4. As I am sure you have found, people telling you 'just do this, and you'll be fine' are far too common once you have a medical condition. Unfortunately, whilst allergen elimination may be helping you (but obviously not enough to cure you), it doesn't help everyone. If it doesn't work for them, you may as well tell a diabetic that it's their fault your hayfever tablets don't cure their endocrine malfunction. And people get upset.

Point 5. Refusing to kow tow (I'm personally uncomfortable about the coarse aggression in the phrase you use, but I trust you know exactly what I mean) to others doesn't mean it isn't possible to try and moderate responses. I have upset people before as they have taken my disagreement as being a personal attack, so I'm not suggesting for one minute that I'm entirely innocent here, but I do try to type and then reread before hitting send, just in case I have overstepped the mark. I do feel that you are angry, and I'm not convinced that this is totally due to the content of these posts.

Point 6. Have you considered whether you would benefit from some help to deal with the emotional side of your illness, as to be that tired, under pressure to work/manage at home and still keep going must be hard. Either your GP could assist or maybe a Tai Chi class? Meditation itself may be harder to do without falling asleep, but if you were interested, I am sure you could find something, as you sound as if you are a proactive person.

I hope that you fill in the DLA application and that it is successful, and that your condition can be effectively treated, as it sounds most distressing.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • Ok STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!

This not fair, you are being just down right horride to everyone who was merly trying to help you and now its not even about the Dla anymore but how much you can get back at everyone and have a go at them? you called me immature but look at your post!

And regarding the "different alias" and "multiply cyber personalities" that just crazy and inrational! for one if you look at the joining times and the posts there all different... and ive posted on completely different things! My condition is completly different and JFKs too!

Jks is there heart and mine is severe arthritis

So just get help please and i suggest to everyone hit the ignore button as this is just down right horrific.

OP, melatonin is a prescription only medicine in UK pharmacies, the stuff you're buying online is unregulated and probably isn't melatonin at all. Melatonin should only be taken under the supervision of a health care professional due to side effects and knock on effects of other medication.

~I also approached the private specialist for a test to confirm. Who used the http://www.biolab.co.uk/ The NHS won't supply this treatment because of the policies and political debates regarding the need for treatment relating to symptoms. Where there's rep of the same medication, it's to offer a choice of what one to buy.

The Hospitals in London are the best in this country for problems, referals can be made by your GP or any other GP you have the right to have treatment wherever you want.

The OP could also consider trying the specialist Sleep Disorders Centre at St. Thomas' Hospital (near Waterloo) - part of Guys and St Thomas' NHS Trust. This is apparently one of the best places for sleep disorder treatment in the world (the National Neurology hospital mentioned by JFKS sometimes refers on to here for sleep disorder cases).

Actually, no. I have downloaded the DVLA application. I have made an appointment to discuss with the doctor advice I have been following from Dr. Sarah Myhill, and I take on board, both positive and negative.

    .

Just wondering about Dr Myhill. From your posts am I right in thinking you have been reading her website but that you have not yet consulted her?

Hi Bambammy, sorry to hear you're having problems. Has a doctor really advised you to take all of those supplements at once or is this a general price list? From your post, I'm not really sure which it is and there is some duplication there which could possibly be dangerous if you took it all. I guess you know that already, :):)
