I believe there is more you can do to maintain it better. I have the NHS telling me to take x4 200mg of provigil, and they keep the brain awake. The body is almost comatised when I stop taking the following advice. I strongly believe, ( although it is hard to put into place ) that if you follow Dr.Sarah Myhill’s advice you may possibly have some improvement. http://www.drmyhill.co.uk/cfs_book.pdf
Why must you say things like this ? if you’re going to apologise then please do otherwise your saying one thing and then doing another you can’t just tell people they can do better as you don’t know the full extent of their condition everyone is very different .
You seem to be taking massively high amounts of vitamins, minerals and chemicals and looking for your information off the internet as Glaswejen said. I think it would be best to sit down with a doctor in a room and discuss all of this and also see a registered Homeopath.
I very much believe in homeopathy but I also believe at the amount you are taking you need to be under some kind of guidance besides the internet you have already said you had a scare with a B3 so surely that should show you, you shouldn’t self medicate?
Also as with regards to DLA most successful applicants have backing from a medical professional recognised with the NHS. I’m sorry your having trouble with this but you need to peruse this if your condition is so badly affected as you claim.
JFKS seems to have the right idea that would probably save you money in the long run.0 -
I got a lecture from my mother about paying for the CFS mitcho test. But to me, the laboratories do not come up with different test results when testing, just because you went private.
Mostly purchase vitamins from ebay or Holland and Barrat.

.
You can also visit the The Royal London Homoeopathic Hospital they are also in Queens Square area and again they are a NHS Hospital ask for a referal, I have been down most routes but buying herbal medicines from Ebay is dangerous.

The amounts of supplements you are taking is just ridicuous without seeing a person who specialises in this form of treatment and does not just write books and articles,
Its like me going to the butchers to buy a new Heart and asking the Cardiologist to fit it because I know they use pig valves so why not hearts!

*chokes* you buy them from ebay?!? I'm horrified, how do you even know what you're taking? Counterfeit medicines are rife online (including ebay) and can contain very little if any of the drug you're supposed to take, they can even look genuine and take specialist machines to tell the difference. Haven't you seen the department of health advert where the guy pulls a dead rat out his mouth after taking a fake drug? You could be taking anything from ashton parsons teething powders (widely used to "cut" drugs) to rat poison. Something like 90% of medicines from non-regulated websites are fake, oh but don't tell me, they're cheap.
And as for Sarah Myhill, 5 minutes on her website and i can assure you she's a quack. Real doctors don't recommend regimes of vitamins and all sorts to "cure" without trying to diagnose the problem first.0 -
Seems to me like a lot of well-informed people have spent time trying to give helpful advice here but there is always another argument from the OP.
All the best OP. I hope I never see a "fell asleep at the wheel" news article about you.0 -
I have just read some articles by Sarah Myhill, I am shocked well if I am honest horrifed that she can make the claims she does,
The test she reccomends for Mitrocondrial diease are blood tests and charges vast amounts of money for doing them. If you see a specalist In Mitrocondrial the tests are open muscle biopys, I wish it was a blood test.
She also says about Blood tests for Cardiomyopathy well again she is wrong, To get a diagnois you need ECG, Echo, Angiogram, and possible hospital monitoring.
The sooner you wise up to this quack the better, I dread to think how many people she has harmed by her ideas.0 -
Yes, I did, at the beginning of the topic. Where I was keeping it brief. I further elaborated. That there's disputes of diagonsis. But yet, I still felt like the vultures circled!!!
Difficulty concentrating organising your thoughts and finding the right words to talk about something that has plagued me for over 22yrs, I WONT apologies for that. The overnight study confirms my sleep, narcolepsy without cataplexy.
Yes, you did.bam bam bammy Shore by The Revellers...do do de de do.0 -
No, I don’t believe I’m saying one thing, then doing another. I apologised.
Then offered an opinion to a young teenage women who thinks there’s nothing that can be done to get better!
My apology was genuine. I gave myself a telling off, in my head for it.
Thinking, god she’s right. I should have known better.
But do you know what. ?! I’m getting fired in to every which way but loose. I fired back. It works both ways.
After 20+yrs, yes I should have known better. After 20+yrs of being fobbed of by doctors, society, and trying myself to find an answer. ( probably why I self medicate ) Doctors wouldn't entertain CFS as a possibility, even though, I experience all those symptoms.
It's only been two years that I've managed to get someone to start ' listening ' a bit more. It's been a long hard 20yrs and I know everyone’s not the same, and not all treatments and alternatives will work for everyone. But I do believe anything that/could shows a little progress, should be promoted!
Reminising to my twenties. I related to Invasions age and my expreiences. I use followed a white meat/veg diet, eating little and often. Only wheat I ate was with an egg salad roll. Constistant routine, with kids, school, then gym and then to work, and I was awake long enough to tackle working five days and five nights five nights a week.
IMHO Invasion has her youth on her side to try and achieve some progression.magicstrawberry wrote: »Why must you say things like this ? if you’re going to apologise then please do otherwise your saying one thing and then doing another you can’t just tell people they can do better as you don’t know the full extent of their condition everyone is very different .

Actually, no. I have downloaded the DVLA application. I have made an appointment to discuss with the doctor advice I have been following from Dr. Sarah Myhill, and I take on board, both positive and negative.
I am/was defensive regarding my license because, I'm confidant I don't need to along with NHS spedoctor/specialists back up.
But on reflection and organising my thoughts, digesting the replies. And another thing, I don't have the energy to harbour anger. I'm quite confidant enough to admit when I may be wrong.
The reason I asked about DLA, is because as I get older, everything gets worse, and on reflection, realise that Is why I should should fill out the application form on the DVLA web site.
So please, pardon me for being human and a mother! It's only natural, to be concerned at the prospect of no longer working, having my house
re-possesed, and not being able to finance what gives me wake times. I don't fancy being back in a state of bed rid, because the regime I follow, does work. Albeit hard, with micromanagement, I have some progression.Waggle_Dancer wrote: »Seems to me like a lot of well-informed people have spent time trying to give helpful advice here but there is always another argument from the OP.
