If it's a rummage for clothes instead of rails, people love it more as it looks like more of a bargain

Good luck! A friend of mine did dorking a few weeks ago and said clothes were selling really well! :-)
  • Prices sound very good, I would always rather sell something a bit cheaper, to get rid of it. Loads of carrier bags are a good idea, and how about a kit kat or mars bar to keep your energy levels up??

Despite the bad weather on Saturday (which quite a few people said it put people off coming out on the Sunday morning) it turned out to be quite a nice morning.

I took a big plastic sheet with me which i put loads of tops on - it seemed to draw people in too! A decorating table for jeans/ suits etc and then all the shoes on the floor in front of the table.

It was not the busiest of Sundays there, but for my first go i thought it went well, time went by very quickly and everyone was really nice. I made £106. :j
Which i dont think is bad. I will be doing another one in two weeks as i still have loads to sell. My mum helped me too and she loved it! So much so that she is coming again with me in two weeks with loads of her stuff - my mum has an entire attic full of clothes!!!!

Cant wait to do the next one now!:j
  • Well done!!! £106 is fab, People either love or hate doing bootsales.
If you can do several a year the money soon adds up either to pay off debts or a holiday.
I have stopped for now and am packing any bootsale bits in the loft for next spring.

Good luck with your next one and let us know how you get on.
