    Afternoon all,

Sun is actually shining here at present, we are to have showers which can mean anything. Not going to chance putting any washing out, just in case.

Going out for dinner to-night with a cousin, it is her birthday on Tuesday, she is separated from her husband and doesnt see her daughter(only child) or her grandchildren either, so is very lonely...spends much of her time having weeks in the sun, I feel that she would be better off learning to drive and doing some kind of work even though she seems to have lots of money which she spends like water. Will do OH dinner before I go of left over ham from yesterday and maybe some colcannon...have cabbage in garden but no curly kale which is what I would normally use.

Twink...lovely to see you, congratulations on the granddaughter, I'm sure she is gorgeous. Sorry to hear that you have had to have gall bladder removed, nasty op and takes quite a while to recover, be sure that you are well before going back to work.

    Have a good day all

    Hi folks

Thought I'd pop in and say hello! :hello:

I've been busy for the last few weeks as it's our operatic show this week. Last night tonight. I've really enjoyed it but I'm ready for a rest! As well as being producer and general dogsbody making costumes, typing up programme etc I'm also one of the main characters!!

First night on Thursday went well despite a power cut 10 minutes before curtain up!!! Luckily the emergency lighting kicked in and I'd had the foresight to fill some pump flasks with boiling water ready for the interval so we were able to keep the audience happy with a cuppa until the power came back on at 8pm.

Hope we don't have a repeat performance with the wind and rain tonight!!

OS wise I'm pleased we've had some home made "ready meals" in the freezer to keep us going. :j

Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible!

Hugs to everyone who needs one.

    TTFN

    Evening all,

Storm still raging here (south coast) has not let up all day, 80 mph winds and torrential rains, lots of roads flodded too, unfortunatly we did not get little dog out for her walk, she will have to make do with a dash into the garden, the weather is really that bad .

OH and I dropped dd off in town, just waiting for a call to pick her and her friend up, we picked up some 3d glasses from sainsbugs, and I got the girls a huge tub of ice cream for £2, better value than the Ben and Jerrys that they like and I refuse to buy unless its on special offer ;)

Have got some jackets in the oven, and will do a mixture of things to go with them.

Twink its so nice to see you posting, congratulations of the new baby xx

Have good evening all, and keep safe if you are in the storm xx

    Good evening all :hello:

I would like to report that steak & kidney pudding cooked in a slow cooker is a resounding success and has been repeated and left unattended the second time whilst out at work. :T (on low for ten hours too..)

Congratulations to Twink on the new arrival & I trust you are taking it easy and recovering well.

Purpleivy - the SAD lamp is on over here too, take it easy hon  a baking day is planned for tomorrow as I have all the fruit steeping for my christmas cake tonight, smells like christmas already!

Diva I hope Tris is doing okay and his pain recedes, good vibes are being sent his way as always.

Not much else to report chez morwenna, except I am getting married in May, we are trying to do it as MS as possible with help from all on the occasions board :D Couldn't be happier really.

    Evening all.
ended up decamping round to my mums house again as H wanted to undercoat the lounge doors - so not something you want little fingers meddling in. Bless him I've hardly seen him on his 3 days off since Wednesday - he's grafted REALLY hard. Still get a break tomorrow as we have a family "do" to go to in the afternoon and it's at least an hours drive away from where we live.
Came back and sorted out a load of junk and paperwork in our wardrobe and tidied that up so although I've done very little except play with the kids I still feel like I've been productive :D
Gave my mum and dad some of my rum truffles. Can confirm they are going down a storm!

Diva - Sorry Tris is in so much pain xx

Sunnygirl - How well the kids sleep depends on a number of factors. Not had a good night last night, DD woke at 11pm and was messing about again until around 1am. Then I woke to find DS snuggled at the bottom of our bed - he'd wet his bed again so had to strip that and remake it and then get into bed with him. Some days are better than others. I try not to whinge too much on here about it as quite frankly everyone must be sick of listening to my lack of sleep stories!

N9eav - I wonder how the surfing is going on Fristral Beach - must be getting some good waves there!

Twink - congrats on your new granddaughter and hope you have a speedy recovery.

Hugs to the poorlies and SAD sufferers xx

    Have a nice evening.
