I got an email from sports direct today offering ladies Air Max trainers, RRP £119.99, normally £60 but on offer at £30 with discount code.
I went through the order process which said to enter the code at checkout. The checkout page did not appear to have a box to enter the discount but I expected it to be prior to the final part of the order process.
It wasn't. I got charged £60...NOT happy!!!
I checked back, and found a small box to the far left of the checkout page saying "vouchers", which I hadn't realised was for the discount code. I emailed immediately, but no response.
If they don't get back to me I'll return them for a refund...but is there anything else I can do?

Good luck with that. Our sports direct will only give credit recipts or exchanges! Refunds for faulty items olny and even then its a battle.:xmastree: :rudolf: :xmastree:0

I'm pretty sure you're covered by the distance selling regulations in regards to returning the item, but hopefully someone more knowledgable will come along soon!"...Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,
but that we are powerful beyond measure".

Sports Direct are BY FAR the worst company I've ever experienced in regards to returning an item so best of luck! You should be able to call a customer service line but if they're anything like the staff in store, you'll do well to get a grunt out of them!0

I challenge that one - Avon are the worst (3 month battle for a £100 refund) :rotfl::rotfl:SIMPLES!0 -

As yet, still no response from them.
I know it's my own fault for not scrutinising the checkout page more carefully, but really, should you have to?? Surely they should make it obvious what goes where...unless their intention is to deceive.0 -

To be honest, when you read the email it does actually describe the "discount code" as a "voucher code" ...so I just automatically thought that was the place for it.
Ive never had any probs with this company and have ordered multiple times and sent items back for refunds which were honoured within 7(ish) days or so.
I would carry on using them

Good luck in getting a response, I emailed them at the beginning of the week to ask if I could take an online purchase back to a Sportsdirect store for a refund, so far no response.0
