  • I've just started uni at 23 and love it. :j
  • I started at 28. To do HND Business now doing a BA Business top up. It a hard stint to just get it, but to be honest the work load was pretty straight forward. I was able to basically put theories to what was happening in my everyday work life. So age (as in starting later) is really a plus factor.

...now I just need to work out how I'm going to make lots of money but only pay tax for £14999 - (No student loan payback heaven) lol, any ideas???

I'm 38 and in my final year.

I know a guy in his seventies who graduated this year and several in their 40s/50s.

Go for it if it is what you want to do!
  • ok great thanks for all the replies.. im gonna get my application in asap i just now have to decide on a course area .. so if anyone wants to share how they decided on their course then please post.

whether it was just your main interest, but you had no specific job in mind. or whether you had the job in mind and did your course to get that job?

After having worked in the construction industry for 8 years, I finally decided to get qualifications. I started a part time HNC in construction 2 years ago (I was 31) and now I have started a part time degree in Architectural Technology. I have 4 more years to go but I'm loving the course and know that this is what I want to do.
I am very lucky because my employer pays for my course.

It's never too late to start university and it is such a mind opener...
