    Guys,

Just to give you a word of warning....

if the code was not sent to you, Littleswoods will reclaim the cash back off your card at a later date....

They have been doing this for months now and a lot of of people have been stung by this...

Take a read of the report from the BBC Website..

    news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7061767.stm

Just thought i would give you the heads up...

    Rick

just wee mention that this was from 2 years ago...they dont always reclaim the cash back as i have used many codes(every time i order) and always call up and say i was sent a code but am not sure if its still valid can they check...i always get the go ahead from CS....they tell me if the code is accepted its fine,if its not to be used by you it wont accept it(it goes red)....also these codes sometimes work on Woolies...i got a moses basket delivered £38.95 ..used the £25 off code and got it for £13.95...money went back in straight away...i think if we use them and are happy to pay full price IF they recharge us then thats fine.

Firstly: This article from HUKD (BitterWallett) was from June 2009: "A couple of weeks ago we received an email from a distraught customer of Littlewoods called Mary. According to Mary, the catalogue company had added £500 worth of charges to her account for goods ordered over a six month period, because she had used discount voucher codes circulated online". http://www.bitterwallet.com/littlewoods-get-heavy-attempting-to-retrieve-voucher-discounts/13903
Secondly: I think most people would agree that there is no way they would normally pay the full price that Littlewoods etc charge.

I don't think MSE should publish Littlewoods codes. I think people get lulled into using these codes without knowing the full story. And I think Littlewoods need to sort out their shady system.

yeah if they charge me bak i will defo see them in court................. if they charge bak they are obviously doing this as bait to reclaim later, by now u thought they would put a system in place so the codes cant be used by those who they are not sent too.....
    SIMPLES!
  • Use them as a one off you won't get stung.

Use them time and time again on the same account and you will.

I would pay full price for the items I bought. They were actually the cheapest I could find online, inlcuding ebay and amazon. So if it comes back that I have to pay, I wont cry about it. First time I have ever used a littlewoods code, or had a littlewoods account.

I rang up to confirm whether I could use this code. I was told I couldn't and that it could only be used by those that recieved it.
My girlfriend who had already used it then rang up to cancel her order and was told that she could use it, it had already been applied and that the discount would not be reversed.
I will wait to see what happens but the offer ends tonight apparently.

FIRSTLY(im not so rude as to make it BOLD).i assumed it was the same old story people bring up again and again every time there is a littlewoods code(not just here but all over the net)....there is always one...which is fine let people know and make their own mind up....and as for "mary" £500 of codes over a 6 month period is alot, pure greed in my opinion and no wonder they reclaimed them.....as stated i called up and said "i have a code can you check its still valid" which they do and have always confirmed that i can use it (even if they were found online)..not once have i been told its not for me...again was told if it is accepted at checkout then it applies to my account....if not then its not for my account....SECONDLY(AGAIN NOT SO RUDE AS TO USE BOLD)im not a huge littlewoods fan but they do have some good bargains which is really the only time i buy from them,i wont bore you with the list(think zzzzzzzzzzz) but sometimes they are cheaper or same priced .....so if they recharge me it wont bother me...obviously if i was greedy and used £500 of codes then i would worry....as it is im not.

Hiya, I had to chuckle at your post re. the use of 'bold'. Some people really are quick to see offence where there is none. I made it bold so it was easier to read, not because I'm rude. If you read through my previous posts you will find I am always extremely courteous and respectful of people. Thanks. (Sorry to digress).
