What would you say someone like Dawn Cunnington, from Kidderminster in the West Midlands would understand almost tasting victory to be? I haven't followed this case. What does almost tasting victory mean?

I'd be very happy to answer that, subject to you answering my 2 outstanding questions that you have transparently avoided:

    1) Does this give any indication whatsover as to when he thinks the test case process will be concluded?

    2) Does it in any way perpetuate the notion of refunds before Christmas?

In short, you are stupid and you think I am too.

Dawn is a Mod on Penalty Charges, so knows exactly what the situation is and has realistic expectations
  • That's good to know. It's awful that a £35 charge can spiral into a huge debt. It must be difficult to cope with the uncertainty.

The charges is the consequence and not the cause. Some people are able to deal with the cause and avoid the spiral and others can not.
I guess Wednesday will be interesting.

Indeed and especially for those less well informed as Dawn when unattributed and baseless quotes about the test case taking until 2015 are peddled about on forums like these.

    1. You would have to be naive in the extreme to pay any attention to a media article..............

2.........unattributed and baseless quotes about the test case taking until 2015 are peddled about on forums like these.

3.......In short, you are stupid and you think I am too

    Speculation is inevitable.

You already know that a lot of people are in desparate circumstances, thats why they go to reclaim sites, looking for either practical help, information or an update. Its human nature for desparate people to want justice within what they regard as a reasonable period of time.

You also know, given societies dependence on media sound bites, that people hear what they want to and that the quality of information supplied from various sources varies considerably.

Its how the situation is managed that is important. That includes:

Not criticising folk for their point of views, which are formed for different reasons than your own, however frustrating that might be for you.

A degree of understanding, accepting where folk are coming from in their opinions and what has brought them here is needed by us all.

You may not mean to do this, but you are coming across (based on several recent posts) as saying that unless people can back up their argument factually from acceptable and trusted sources, that their point of view is irrelevant and that it annoys you.
Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.
You come here for advice, help and support- thats what I and like minded others will try to do.

Orc, people's factless points annoy me as well and I think Oakhouse was challenging people for a view based on Martin Lewis interview on GMTV and then when that point of view was actually clarified moved onto an article on the BBC TV website. Oakhouse is not as stupid as they may appear to be so they were, what I think the technical word is, "stirring" ;)
