Ah how thoughtful are you! Can I send my dear husband for some lessons from you?
How about a tresure hunt? with little hint type pressies at each next clue, so a poker chip with a clue as to where to find the next item and clue? The final item could be something as simple as a vegas calendar or diary with the holiday dates marked on it. Then hand over the tickets and itinary?
  • First of all, what a fab present this is!

I like the scrap book idea but I would go with the

Page 1 - I could just get you a pair of socks
Page 2 - Or a trip to the zoo
    Page 3 - Or a night in a hotel
Page 4 - Or a swim with dolphins
    Page 5 - Or a holiday
    etc etc etc
and then once you have covered everything - cut a hole in the pages towards the back of the book, pop the tickets and itinerary inside a sock and fit it in the hole and on the ppage before it, have something like - so I went with the socks.

The disappointment in their faces before realising what the socks actually hold would be something to see.....before the excitement and tears.

Good luck whatever you choose. They will love it.X

We took my mum to Ireland on holiday and we made the trip into a cryptic present, we bought a guidebook, added Guiness coasters, a photo album of places we would be going and the info regarding the cottages we were going to stay in. She thought it was just a reminder of the last time and she was really delighted to finally work out we were going again. Hope it all goes well and they love the suprise as much as my mum did.

  • What a great pressie!:T

If you were savvy with pc's then you could prepare a powerpoint presentation for them in the form of a quiz, get them to answer the questions and at the end all the anwers tell them what their present is.

Oh yes it is I wish you were my brother. All my mum wants is to see my brother more than three times a year (lives 45 mins drive away. I would do anything to be able to give her that and I can't.

As has been said you are a really truly wonderful son.

    xx

I'd do a treasure hunt around the house if you can get 10mins in by yourself to set up (having arranged in your head first, ifykwim), and then have the treasure as a scrapbook of 'it'

I did this for an orient express trip holiday for my MIL 70th birthday and she loved it. had no idea what was coming at the end of it.

You never really own anything, it's just loaned to you for the duration of your life.

Could you buy her a photo album and put the tickets in the front page, the album they can fill with photos when they get back
What a fabulous idea and such a reflection of what kind of mum she must be.
